Spiritual Awakening

“Sometimes we like to talk more and failed to listen. Do you realize that God has created us with two ears and one mouth? To invite God into our life, observing silence is the key.” said Sister Soon.  Thanks God this year I was able to attend 3 days 2 nights retreat at Daughters of Carmelite sisters retreat centre in Tambunan. The main speaker for this retreat was Sister Soon, a charismatic soft-spoken sister. Human is living in two world; physical and spiritual. Who are we to look for when we are spiritually sick? Jesus is the best spiritual doctor. Penance is vital when our spirits get sick. Sister Soon also mentioned about salvation. The word, ‘salvation’ derived from Latin, ‘salutis’. The deeper meaning of salvation is healthy. Some of the steps of healing are humble ourselves, believe in God, surrender to Him, submissive to Him, and frequently pray. She also mentioned that we must avoid cursing and watch our mouths. Below are two songs that touched me during the retreat sung by Sister Soon with her angelic voice.
